Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you (and your club) and My Ground App when you use mygroundapp.com. They are short because the deal is simple.
The short version: your club's data belongs to your club, the service is free while we are in pilot, and the planner suggests while your groundsperson decides.
The service
My Ground App is a planning and coordination tool for cricket clubs: pitch rotation, volunteer jobs, notifications, feeding programmes and ground records. It is in active development, so features will keep improving and occasionally change shape.
Your account and your club
- Keep your login details to yourself, and tell us if you think your account has been compromised.
- Club admins control their club: who is invited, what roles people have, and what data is entered.
- Only invite people who are happy to be contacted about the club's ground work.
- Give us accurate information, and use one account per person.
Your club's data
Everything your club enters belongs to your club. You give us permission to store and process it only so the service works, as described in our privacy policy. We never share one club's data with another, and never sell it. Ask and we will export your club's data, or delete it.
Ground decisions are yours
The planner explains its reasoning, but it is an aid, not an agronomist. Decisions about pitch use, preparation, safety and playability are your club's to make, by the people who can see the ground in front of them. The Guides section links to third-party guidance (MCC, GMA, ECB and others) that belongs to its authors and may change; check anything critical against the source.
Fair use
Use the service lawfully and as intended. Don't attempt to break its security, scrape or resell it, or use it to send messages people haven't signed up for. We may suspend accounts that do, with notice where reasonable.
Pricing
The service is currently in an early pilot and free to use. Our intended pricing is a flat annual price per club, shown on the pricing page, with founder pricing honoured as advertised. You will never be charged without clear notice and your agreement first: there is no card on file and nothing that converts silently.
Availability and backups
We aim to keep the service available and your data safe, and the database is backed up. We do not promise a formal uptime guarantee, though, so for anything compliance-critical (safety inspections, equipment servicing records) keep your own copy too: the maintenance log can be exported for exactly this reason.
Ending things
You can stop using the service at any time, and ask us to export and delete your club's data. If we ever wind the service down, we will give you reasonable notice and a window to take your data with you.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Beyond that, the service is provided as-is during the pilot, we are not liable for indirect losses (a cancelled fixture, for example), and our total liability is capped at the amount your club paid us in the previous 12 months, or £100 if you have paid nothing.
Changes and contact
If these terms change materially we will tell you in the app or by email. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: dan@mygroundapp.com.
